How to Feel Like Yourself Again in Motherhood

The essential shifts to reclaim your sense of self, and return to calm, grounded connection.

Motherhood changes you - often more deeply than you expect.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of who you’re becoming in this season, you’re not alone.

Many mothers quietly carry this sense of loss or disorientation, assuming it’s just part of being busy, tired, or not coping well enough.

This workshop offers a different lens - one that helps you understand what’s really happening beneath the surface, and what actually supports mothers to feel steadier, clearer, and more connected to themselves again.

What this workshop is about

In this workshop, we explore why so many mothers feel lost or disconnected from themselves — and why that experience isn’t a personal failing, a lack of resilience, or something that will simply pass with time.

You’ll be introduced to matrescence — the profound and transformative transition into, and through, motherhood — and the identity shifts that often accompany it. For many women, simply naming and understanding this transition brings immediate relief and validation.

We’ll also look at the unspoken stories and assumptions that shape how mothers interpret this season, often without realising it — and how these narratives can keep you stuck in self-judgement, guilt, or survival mode.

From there, I’ll walk you through three identity-led shifts that support mothers to move out of overwhelm and into a more grounded, aligned way of living and mothering.

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the end of this workshop, you’ll:

• Understand why motherhood has felt so disorienting - and recognise this as part of matrescence
• Feel deeply validated and less alone in your experience
• Gain language for the emotional and identity shifts you’re navigating
• Understand the hidden stories that keep mothers stuck in self-blame
• Learn the three identity-led shifts that support steadiness and alignment
• Feel clearer about what actually helps in this season — and why

This workshop offers pinpricks of awareness — gentle insights that open the door to deeper understanding and change.

Who this workshop is for

This workshop is for mothers who:

• Feel overwhelmed, unsettled, or disconnected from themselves
• Notice guilt or self-criticism when prioritising their own needs
• Feel unsure of who they are becoming in motherhood
• Want to feel calmer, more grounded, and more aligned in this season
• Are curious about identity, matrescence, and emotional wellbeing

You don’t need to be “at breaking point” to attend. Many women come simply because something feels off - and they want language, understanding, and steadier ground.

“The acknowledgment for this motherhood journey was incredibly powerful — an acknowledgment I didn’t even realise I was missing or needed. I loved every part of it. I felt held, supported, and truly seen. This work is so important. I have two girls, and they’ll know this before they become mothers — not 8 years after, like me. Thank you Bree, you’re amazing.”
